Sandy Christey—Featured Artist

Gallery at Marina Square Presents Our Featured Artist Exhibit for September 2009 2012: “Dare to Bloom”

A Featured Artist Reception will be held Friday, September 11th from 5-8pm at Gallery at Marina Square

Artist Sandy Christey

Sandy Christey, a retired Nurse, infuses love and healing into her gorgeous Chinese brushstroke, silk paintings, scarves and jewelry. Colors range from soft and delicate, to brilliant, yet bold and rich. Sandy has been actively involved, pursuing creativity, her entire life. As a child she loved to draw, paint, and act.

Sandy continued to explore this passion of creativity while simultaneously engaging in her 30-year career as a nurse. Over the last 20 years, Sandy enthusiastically returned to the study of art through a variety of modalities. She was fortunate to be able to study with master Chinese brush painter Ning Yeh. She was very appreciative of his ability to incorporate teaching the ancient art with education of the Chinese culture.

Sandy Christey’s exhibition “Dare to Bloom” can be viewed at Gallery at Marina Square throughout the month of September, from the 1st through the 29th.
