Reception Night and Art Walk for April 2017

We’ve had lots of tourists in town this week enjoying the wonderful sunny weather at the seacoast! And the Embarcadero was bumper to bumper with cars! So lots of people were out and about having dinner, celebrating Good Friday & Easter week and eventually walking into the Gallery to see our wonderful shows. Lots of tourists coming into Morro Bay just to see our cute Otter families hanging out in the harbor! If you haven’t seen the video below, take a look:

Ryan, Anita and Louise worked the Gallery today and helped us set up for the evening. The Estuary folks brought many tourists into town just to see their science interacting with our artwork for their State of the Bay program. We had tons of fabulous comments about how beautiful and informative everything was for this show!!

And we had so many people coming to see all the informational posters that the Estuary had put up on easels to educate the public on the health of our harbor and the animals around us. And the Estuary used the artwork of our own Susan Wood for the cover on the Estuary’s Annual Report and some great artwork inside the report too.

And so many of our artists came in support of Don and Ardella—

Ardella and Don really outdid themselves tonight with all the awesome finger foods and goodies that they served tonight. Our customers and artists loved every bite!! Fruit & veggies, tons of cookies, pulled pork sliders! We had so many wonderful choices…and we received so many compliments from so many visitors to the gallery. Thank you all for putting on such an amazing spread!! Karen worked the food tables keeping everything looking great this evening. And Neal Swanberg who made the punch and handled the punch table as Greg McIntosh was sick. Thank you Neal!!

Special thanks Ryan, Louise, Karen, Jo & Neal, Galen, Gay & Jack, Jari, Linda Hill, Alice, Don, Hope, George, Margie, Anita, Spanky, Sarah, Suzanne, Susan W., Virginia, Susan M., Diane, Greg S.…all the helping hands that helped make the reception a success! Thank you one and all for supporting our Opening Reception for our wonderful artists. It’s always a fun evening visiting with our fellow artists. And we had such great music thanks to our own Mike Swanberg's voice and guitar!
